I woke up at 7:44 and we packed up and headed out of the hotel room. We – Bill and I – went to Canadian Tire while Fran went to the post office. We were looking for something to get rid of our fly problem and found sticky sheets, it ended up not working too well. Then we got gas and left Wawa. Our first stop was at Katherine’s Cove. I touched Lake Superior water and walked out on the rocks. While we were driving we were listening to the Vinyl Cafe pretty much the whole time. We saw bison on a farm so stopped t take pictures. Our first stop was at Sault St Marie, where Bill and I got frosty’s, then we went for and groceries and Starbucks at Pino’s. We kept driving, looking for a picnic area, and stopped for lunch, which was just stuff we had just bought at Pino’s. We ended up doing a lot of driving today, and it was humid, so we stopped again for frosty’s, ice cream and a bathroom break at Espagnola. When we finally got to Sudbury, we went to Mine Mill campground and there were geese and their poop everywhere, but overall it was an ok campsite.

A better day
So since we were sleeping in a hotel I got to sleep in! I woke up at around 10 and just started off watching the Olympics. Bill had an appointment the garage so brought the van to that. While Bill was gone, Fran and I were just sitting around, me still in my pyjamas not expecting to do much. When Bill got back, he said " who wants to go to Montreal?" The problem was a lose clamp on the hose to the oil cooler. So we quickly packed up, and while Fran and I went to the gift shop, Bill was supposed to get gas. So after we got the Schreiber magnet, we went to go sit outside, waiting for Bill. We waited for a long time, and finally I walked down to the gas station. He wasn't there. So then I walked down to the hotel room. He was waiting there, thinking we were going to go back to see him. We then got 1 more picture i Schreiber then got gas then left.
We stopped once at Marathon for lunch. I fell asleep again, listening to the Vinyl Cafe. Our last stop was at Wawa where we stopped to see the giant goose. We checked out 3 motels and decided on then Bristol, then went to the Viking Tavern for dinner. We watched more Olympics then went to bed.

A terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day
When I woke up, it was still kinda early, so I had breakfast. In a bowl I found a strawberry magnet Claire had left for me. While I was eating, Lily came and gave me 2 magnets, one for the Belluz farm and the other she made. Then Bill and I then went to the farm where we saw some geese and a pig. We looked around then went to the shop area and looked in the greenhouse. Before we left we got 1 more picture, of course. We quickly stopped at the Terry Fox Memorial. Then we stopped for gas then stopped later at Nipigon for lunch. I saw a chipmunk a couple times then got a pin since there were no magnets. While we were climbing a hill, behind us started to smoke. Fran started to take it easy as the car filled with smoke. We stooped at Pays Plat gas station and bill called the gas station. We had to wait for a tow truck forever at the gas station, then when it finally got there, got towed to Schreiber. I didn`t want to be there. We were supposed to be in Wawa. So we got to the garage then waited for a bit. They couldn`t get it looked at right away, so we were gonna have to wait who knows how long. We got a hotel room at the Circle Route Motel, then walked to the post office. We saw some trains and a little rinky dinky one. We walked up to the restaurant attached to the motel. Then we went back to the room and watched the Olympics.

A day of relatives
So we started our day by borrowing Don and Claire’s car and going to go see Lance and Janet Heald. We had a little morning snack there of coffee or tea and muffins. Then we went for lunch at Gargoyles for lunch. There we met Lynn and David Bryan, and David and Patti Harris. Don and Claire joined us as well. Patti gave me a few magnets and it was nice conversation. Then we went down to the marina and saw these rocks people made look like balloon animals! It was really cool, and I also saw the sleeping giant, though I was a little sceptical about it. We check out this little place with information on grain elevators then went to go look for a Thunder Bay magnet. Didn’t find one though so we went to go visit Frances and Tony Chochla. We had after lunch snacks and drinks then came back to Don and Claire’s. I found a bubble gun and played with that but Fran wasn’t impressed cause the wind was going in her direction. Bill took me to the corn maze on the Belluz farm. The corn isn’t tall enough though. We looked for strawberries and found few. We came back for dinner and Don and Claire’s son Kevin and wife Jodi came over with their kids Lily (9) and Finn (6). After dinner the kids wanted to look at my magnets so I showed them then we started hanging out. We came inside to watch the Olympics and they looked at my blog. Then they had to go home so we said goodbye. I am watching the news now and my blog is finally up to date!!
A power outage and pie
Fran was glad we ended up staying in a hotel because it rained the next day. And hard too. It was on and off all day. I think it took out the cable in the hotel room. We left and got gas. A lot of the scenery was the same. Bill saw some beaver dams and I saw another moose!! Another female. I did end up seeing a beaver dam, but only one so far. I also made plans to see Erica, so I’m looking forward to that.
I had to use the bathroom so we pulled over at a gas shop, but you had to get something to use it, or at least they wanted you to, so we ate lunch at the restaurant attached to the gas station. Fran and Bill had sound and I had a salad. We all had pie though. I had apple, Bill had blueberry and Fran had raspberry. When we were there the power went out and it was fun looking at how they had to get out the generator and the cook was calling for light. We left in the rain and stopped at the Kakabeka falls then went to the info center for a magnet. We arrived in Thunder Bay and went to Don and Claire’s house, and met June Stewardson. She was there for dinner. Then I watched the Olympics then bed. I slept in a real bed as well.
